Im kommenden Wintersemester 2026/27 sind Physikstudierende eingeladen, am Kurs "Machine Learning in High-Energy Physics mit praktischen Übungen teilzunehmen.  Der Kurs umfaßt 2 Semesterwochenstunden Vorlesungen und 2 Semesterwochenstunden Hands-On-Übungen.  Der Kurs wird auf English gehalten.  Weitere Details finden Sie in dem Ankündigungsflyer.

We are pleased to announce that Nikos Kamaras has been awarded a House of Young Talents PhD scholarship. He will begin his scholarship on 1 October 2026. We congratulate him on this achievement and look forward to following his research and progress over the coming years.

As of 1 June, Matthias Hamer has started his position as excellence cluster professor in detector physics. We warmly welcome him to the group and look forward to working with him.

Katharina Voß has successfully defended her PhD thesis and graduated with the distinction summa cum laude. We congratulate her on this outstanding achievement and wish her all the best for the next stage of her career.

As the first doctoral student to join Prof. Markus Cristinziani's group in Siegen, Gabriel Gomes has successfully defended his PhD thesis. We congratulate him on this important milestone and wish him all the best for the next stage of his career.

Elisabeth Schopf has been awarded the Research Prize of the School of Science and Technology. The prize will be formally presented during the annual celebration of the School of Science and Technology on 19 June: https://www.uni-siegen.de/en/2026/annual-celebration-of-the-school-of-science-and-technology. We congratulate Elisabeth on this recognition.

We are pleased to announce that group members Nils Krengel and Carolina Costa have been awarded House of Young Talents PhD scholarships. They will begin their scholarships on 1 April 2026. We congratulate Nils and Carolina on this achievement and look forward to following their future research.
