Today, the annual ATLAS-D meeting has started in Siegen. It is taking place for the rest of the week in the new building at the Unteres Schloss. About 120 ATLAS collaborators are coming to Siegen from all corners of Germany for a fruitful exchange – finally in person again.
Am 04. Juli 2012 wurde die Entdeckung des Higgs-Teilchens verkündet. Anlässlich des 10-jährigen Jubiläums der Entdeckung bietet das CPPS eine öffentliche Veranstaltung an.
Tongbin Zhao has joined our group as an exchange Ph.D. student, supported by a grant from the Chinese government. He is working with ATLAS data, in particular, he is searching for heavy Majorana neutrinos in top-quark pair events. Welcome!
You are cordially invited to join the inaugural lecture by Prof. Dr. Markus Cristinziani on Thursday, 21.10.2021, at 17:15 h in the lecture hall EN D-114. He will talk about Top Quarks am CERN - Neues zum schwersten Elementarteilchen vom größten Teilchenbeschleuniger (in German).
Two new members join the ATLAS group, Dr. Vadim Kostyukhin and Katharina Voss as PhD student. Welcome!
Markus Cristinziani joins the Siegen group as full professor for experimental physics, supported by the German Science Foundation through a Heisenberg professorship, see this press release. His research currently focuses on top-quark physics, flavor tagging, pixel detectors, and beyond collider physics.
